From Soundwave: MEDIATE and SF Bay Guardian present the Soundwave ((6)) Opening Night Party featuring live outdoor performances by Rogue Wave, Kacey Johansing, art installations in the East Garden, and interactive sonic art exhibits throughout the California Academy of Sciences. This event is part of the Academy's NightLife LIVE series. You can find our installation in the Tusher African Hall, located within the Kimball History Museum. Admission is $10 for Academy members and $12 for the public.
For Soundwave ((6)), Speaking Tributaries is creating an installation that will mimic the physical and emotional experience of loss, whether it is of a memory, a landscape, a resource, a history, or a known condition. We are very excited to share recent research and new images and sounds.
